Google.org commissioned me to create an anthem film featuring Jason Jones as part of their announcement of a $2 million grant to support The Last Mile, a program that prepares incarcerated individuals for successful re-entry to the job market through business and technology training.

In 1954, an artist created an iconic street sign for San Francisco. Half a century later, his signs started to disappear. What began as a short film about design took on a life of its own and ended up changing a little piece of history.

the ceremony and architecture of cinema to deconstruct the moving image experience and reveal the embodiment and co-presence that are catalyzed through this act of attention.

Working with John Avila and others who have experienced incarceration, we created a short film, a sound piece, and a performance lecture at ASU’s Art Musuem as a pop-up event for the exhibit “Undoing Time: Art and Histories of Incarceration.”

This public art commission was installed for the winter season of 2019-2020 in Jackson, WY. The installation and events that I curated to activate it throughout the season focused on the science of ecological change within the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem.

Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture offered me a solo commission, with carte blanche to create a new work on their historic campus sitting on the San Francisco bay. This was my first public art piece and marked my transition from filmmaker to site specific multimedia artist.

In 2024, I founded Sometimes Cinema, a communal gathering for humans to meet up around moving image works and books, sound art, an at-cost bookstore that was co-curated by local artists, writers and collectives.
